The production choices (and perhaps prevailing influence(s) of the time) date this a bit more where the other albums FEEL more timeless. This legit sounds like Bill Laswell or Real World produced it and that's both good and occasionally excessive in the context of a PMW recording. Trying new things make it a fascinating listen, but for me over-produced & significant level of intimacy is lost. If you have Fête Foraine (and you should have it), you may understand my opinion.
